About Me

I'm a Lead Consultant and Global IT Manager with over 20 years professional experience specialising in all things infrastructure. Starting off with traditional free standing servers technology moved quickly on to virtualised servers where I gained vast amounts of experience with VMware and Hyper-V to name but two. With technology never standing still environments moved on to the cloud where I successfully deployed global solutions on AWS, UK Cloud, Google Compute and Azure. During my successful career so far I have led service desks and deployed complete global environments to both companies I've worked for internally and externally for their clients. When working directly for clients I have deployed elastically scaling public cloud platforms for many UK and Australian Government departments along with major private FTSE 100 companies. Regularly travelling throughout the UK and once travelling to Australia with 2 days notice means of course I'm pretty flexible in this area! I'm very accustomed to working under tight SLA's within internal service desk environments and also leading agile work streams directly with clients. My experience with the latter involves assembling and leading teams, sprint planning to ensure goals and use cases are met then replaying the whole sprint back to the client in retrospectives. When I'm not doing all this cool technical stuff I'm most likely going back in time either listening to vinyl records or playing retro games on my raspberry pi .
